Unit 1: Number Puzzles and Multiple Towers
In this first unit of study, students will be focusing on the following question..How does the make up of a number help us recognize patterns and relationships to solve multiplication and division problems? We will be investigating the math vocabulary and learn how that knowledge helps to solve multiplication problems, which then help us understand division problems. One important concept is that the students MUST memorize their basic multiplication facts in order to be even more successful with this unit. Practice makes perfect!
